Two scientists from the University of Houston have been elected as fellows of the American Association for the Advancement of Science.
The National Association of Biology Teachers (NABT) will recognize W. Jason Niedermeyer, a biology teacher at South Salem High School in Salem, Oregon, with the 2010 Evolution Education Award during the NABT annual professional development conference to be held 3-6 November 2010 in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
The Health Resources and Services Administration has awarded $1.6 million in grants to support the Hepatitis C Treatment Expansion Initiative. The funds will aid organizations implementing effective, focused interventions designed to increase access to and completion of Hepatitis C treatment for HIV-positive patients.
