Described during the 239th National Meeting of the American Chemical Society the test is for Chagas' disease, leishmaniasis, and "sleeping sickness" or African trypanosomiasis.
53% of parents who receive their child's Body Mass Index (BMI) report card do not believe that it accurately categorizes their child as underweight, normal weight, overweight, or obese, according to research out today in Health Promotion Practice, a SAGE Publishing journal.
New research coordinated by Karolinska Institutet in Sweden links certain DNA variants to increased risk of irritable bowel syndrome in women. The findings, published in the scientific journal Gastroenterology, might help explain why IBS is more common in women than in men.
Novian Health, developer of Novilase Breast Therapy, announced today that it has successfully completed a funding round totaling $11 million.
