Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Limited and its wholly-owned subsidiary Millennium: The Takeda Oncology Company today announced the initiation of the Phase II portion of a Phase I/II clinical trial of TAK-700 in patients with advanced prostate cancer.
Rush University Medical Center is among the first hospitals in the nation, and the only one in Illinois, to provide patients fighting advanced kidney access to a new combination immunotherapy that targets different immune system cells and processes than a widely used therapy that has been proven effective for some patients but had little effect on others.
Babies born with Severe Combined Immune Deficiency (SCID) syndrome are defenceless against bacterial and viral infections that would be virtually harmless to most healthy people. If untreated, SCID is often fatal within a baby's first year of life.
According to a new U.S. government study parents commonly give infants teas or herbal supplements said to soothe "fussiness" even though there's no good evidence that the products work. The market is flooded with these teas and botanical products with ingredients like chamomile, ginger and fennel that are marketed for easing infants' tummy troubles, fussiness and sleep problems. However there is no evidence that these are effective and safe.
