Pepscan, the Netherlands based biotechnology firm focusing on protein mimicking technology for the generation of immune therapeutics, today announced that it reached a partnering agreement for its therapeutic vaccine portfolio with Immunovo BV of 's-Hertogenbosch. Under the terms of the agreement Pepscan will receive an undisclosed cash payment as well as a minority interest in Immunovo.
Research led by VHIO's Alena Gros signposts a new, less invasive approach to identify killer T lymphocytes in patients with gastrointestinal tumors with low mutational burden who are refractory to approved immune-based treatments.
Indiana State health officials report that routine screening by the American Red Cross detected West Nile virus in blood donated by a LaGrange County resident. The individual developed no symptoms of West Nile infection. The blood was not put into circulation.
