The Toy Industry Foundation, the philanthropic arm of the North American toy industry, and Nemours, one of the country's largest pediatric health systems, operating two children's hospitals and more than 40 outpatient facilities with operations in five states, today announced the launch of a year-long research partnership.
In recent years, a powerful suite of drugs known as kinase inhibitors have been developed to treat cancer and other diseases. Primary targets of such drugs include a family of receptor tyrosine kinases (RTKs) which protrude from cell surfaces like antennae and can activate cancer-related pathways in virtually all types of cancer when signaling molecules bind with them.
MAP Pharmaceuticals, Inc. today announced new data from the FREEDOM-301 Phase 3 trial of its investigational LEVADEX orally inhaled migraine therapy showing low recurrence rates with LEVADEX. Eight additional analyses from the LEVADEX program also will be presented during the 2010 European Headache and Migraine Trust International Congress (EHMTIC) in Nice, France.
The United States-Mexico Border Field Office of the Pan American Health Organization and the U.S.-Mexico Border Health Association are beginning a new stage of cooperation.
