Duke Clinical Research Institute has launched a patient registry to help researchers and clinicians identify, manage and study people who have a progressive lung disease called idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis.

Study may provide novel targetable mechanisms of therapeutic resistance to anti-VEGF therapies

To establish a molecular signature of this resistance in ovarian cancer, the authors developed preclinical tumor models of adaptive resistance to chronic anti-VEGF treatment.

New minimally invasive surgery - flexible transgastric peritoneoscopy, or FTP

Surgeries performed with specialized medical devices requiring only small incisions, called laparoscopic surgery, have many advantages over traditional open surgery, including less pain, fewer complications and quicker recoveries.

Breast feed for smarter kids

A news study published in the journal Pediatrics this Monday shows that babies who are breastfed for longer than six months may reap he benefits of having better brain function right into school. The benefit may be particularly so in boys.
