A large new study has shown that sex work criminalization is associated with increased incidences of violence against them. Since most of the sex workers are unable to screen their potential clients and resort to obscure and hidden places, they are more vulnerable to crimes against them, finds the study.
A study presented at the American Society of Anesthesiologists 2010 Annual Meeting revealed that use of aspirin before cardiac surgery reduced postoperative cardiocerebral complications, including stroke, myocardial ischemia, heart block and cardiac arrest by more than 33 percent when compared to patients who did not use aspirin.
In November, Republicans will defend 22 of 36 governors' seats. Last time around, the health law appeared - in many cases - to work in GOP candidates' favor. Meanwhile, at the National Governors Association summer meeting, the health law also was a hot topic for at least one state executive eyeing a run for the White House.
Wright Medical Group, Inc., a global orthopaedic medical device company, today announced that it has launched a new subsidiary, Wright Medical Australia Pty, LTD. The new entity will directly manage all of the Company's extremity and biologics distribution for customers in Australia and New Zealand.
