Organizers of the XVIII International AIDS Conference announced today that President Bill Clinton, founder of the William J. Clinton Foundation and 42nd President of the United States, and South African Health Minister Aaron Motsoaledi will be among 19 high-level speakers who will address an estimated 25,000 conference attendees in Vienna this summer.
Two teams from the Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI-MUHC) and McGill University received significant support from the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) amounting to $5 million over five years.
Medtronic Foundation and Take Heart Minnesota™ today announced a comprehensive statewide initiative, the first in the nation, designed to increase sudden cardiac arrest (SCA) survival rates. SCA is a condition in which the heart abruptly stops without warning. More than 4,500 cases of SCA were reported in Minnesota in 2008, an average of 12.5 incidences per day.
A deadly new strain of methicillin-resistant Staphylociccus auerus (MRSA) poses an alarming new threat, sparking demand for Unotron's (www.unotron.com) medical grade, fully washable keyboards and mice that can be disinfected to mitigate the spread of germs.
