MEDIAN Technologies (ALMDT), a leading medical imaging software solutions developer and a service provider for image interpretation and management in oncology clinical trials, announced today it has been selected as the imaging solutions and services provider in a new phase II clinical trial on Non Small Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC).
A new study published recently in ScienceDirect by researchers from Syracuse University and SUNY Upstate Medical University shows that people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) are more likely to die from COVID-19 than those without IDD.
"Exactly one year ago, we spoke about the fact that, in future, it will be possible to diagnose diabetes from the eye using automatic digital retinal screening, without the assistance of an ophthalmologist – 12 months on, MedUni Vienna is right in the middle of this digital revolution." These were the words used by Ursula Schmidt-Erfurth, Head of MedUni Vienna's Department of Ophthalmology and Optometrics to open today's press conference about the ART-2018 Specialist Meeting on new developments in retinal therapy, which is to take place on 1 December.
Soligenix, Inc., a development stage biopharmaceutical company, announced today that the National Cancer Institute has awarded Soligenix a Small Business Innovation Research grant to support the conduct of a Phase 2 clinical trial designed to evaluate orBec (oral beclomethasone 17,21-dipropionate or BDP) as a treatment for the gastrointestinal manifestation of chronic Graft-versus-Host disease.
GlaxoSmithKline on Monday said it has submitted its experimental breast cancer drug Tykerb, which is taken orally, for FDA approval and plans to file for approval in Europe in the fourth quarter of this year, Reuters reports.
