A study released in advance of the American Podiatric Medical Association's (APMA) 95th Annual Meeting in Philadelphia reveals nearly 68 percent of all U.S. soldiers wounded in the Iraq and Afghanistan conflicts are a result of extremity injuries and nearly 22 percent of those injuries involve the foot and/or ankle.
Mylan Inc. today announced that its subsidiary Mylan Pharmaceuticals Inc. has received final approval from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for its Abbreviated New Drug Application (ANDA) for Fluvastatin Capsules USP, 20 mg and 40 mg, the first generic version of Novartis' Lescol Capsules.
Babcock & Wilcox Technical Services Group, Inc. has been awarded approximately $9 million from the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) for the company's medical isotope production program. Awarded under a cooperative agreement, the funding will be used for further development of B&W TSG's patented reactor technology for medical isotope production using low enriched uranium. B&W TSG is an operating unit of The Babcock & Wilcox Company.
Oxea will increase prices on the following products effective September 1, 2009, or as contracts allow. This increase is in addition to any previously announced mid quarter price increase.
