The majority of women who chose nitrous oxide (laughing gas) to manage labor pain, ultimately decide to have an epidural, according to new research presented at the ANESTHESIOLOGY 2016 annual meeting.
Scientists from Stanley Manne Children's Research Institute at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago discovered that a set of genes with decreased expression in individuals with Down syndrome may lead to clinical abnormalities in this population, such as poor muscle development and heart valve problems.
A gene variant strongly associated with development of type 2 diabetes appears to interact with a Mediterranean diet pattern to prevent stroke, report researchers from the Jean Mayer USDA Human Nutrition Research Center on Aging (USDA HNRCA) at Tufts University and from the CIBER Fisiopatolog-a de la Obesidad y Nutriciόn in Spain.
New advice to doctors and patients about the use of Strattera, (atomoxetine), was issued today by the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency, (MHRA).
In a new study, the REACT-1 research group offer their findings on the rate of SARS-CoV-2 infection in England after the country went into a third national lockdown. Their findings show a 60% reduction of incidence from their previous round of surveillance.
