Scientists have identified a blood biomarker that could be used to predict the onset of renal cell carcinoma (RCC) years before the disease is diagnosed.
Serono, Inc., the US affiliate of Serono, announced today the launch of Zorbtive™ [somatropin (rDNA origin) for injection] for use in the treatment of patients with short bowel syndrome.
A research group led by MANA Scientist Kohsaku Kawakami, postdoctoral researcher Shaoling Zhang and MANA Principal Investigator Katsuhiko Ariga, at the International Center for Materials Nanoarchitectonics (MANA), NIMS (Sukekatsu Ushioda, President), succeeded in developing porous particles (mesoporous particles) consisting solely of phospholipids, a biological component, that are suitable for use as a drug delivery system.
Researchers have revealed an antiobesity gene that has apparently been keeping critters lean during times of plenty since ancient times.
President Barack Obama will unveil a new jobs plan today. News outlets report on how health jobs are one clear area of promise.
