New findings published today by a team of researchers led by Dr. Andres Lozano at the Krembil Neuroscience Centre of Toronto Western Hospital have provided further insight into the effects of Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) in the treatment of Alzheimer's disease.
A group of researchers from Stanford in collaboration with other universities have found that in humans a low level of acetyl-L-carnitine or L-acetyle carnitine in blood could be a predictor of the duration and severity of depression.

Exposing developing tissue to low levels of the plastic bisphenol A, commonly known as BPA, is linked to a greater incidence of prostate cancer in tissue grown from human prostate stem cells, a new study finds.
