Nearly one in two seniors in Ontario who visited a family doctor for a non-bacterial infection received an unnecessary antibiotic prescription, according to a new study from the Institute for Clinical Evaluative Sciences Western site in London, Ontario and Lawson Health Research Institute.
Antibodies are among the most commonly used reagents in life-science laboratories employed in everyday experiments, diagnostics and clinical tests. The specificity displayed by antibodies makes them versatile lab tools; however, sourcing the most appropriate antibody can be costly and time consuming
Thomas Lynch, age 2, is now able to hear on both sides of his head with a device and surgical procedure pioneered by a surgeon-led team at Loyola University Medical Center.
The cuts include eliminating some popular programs, raising some co-pays and creates a system for hospital exemptions from taxes.
