Partial nephrectomy offers a similar magnitude of benefit in patients with clinical T1b versus cT1a renal cell carcinoma, Japanese researchers have shown.
Carnegie Mellon University scientists have discovered a crucial difference in the way learning occurs in the brains of adults with autism spectrum disorder (ASD).
Researchers have developed a blood test that could accurately detect up to 50 types of cancers, and some of these detections could be even before the symptoms appear. The test would help physicians detect the origin or the source of cancer within the body explain the researchers from the European Society of Oncology. The study titled, "Sensitive and specific multi-cancer detection and localization using methylation signatures in cell-free DNA," was published in the latest issue of the journal Annals of Oncology.
Nine years ago, the World Health Organization adopted a global strategy to address risk factors for chronic diseases such as heart disease, cancer and diabetes. Today, only a few low-and middle-income countries have implemented robust national policies to help prevent such non-communicable diseases, according to an international study led by the Institute of Tropical Medicine in Antwerp in collaboration with Ghent University, published in this week's PLOS Medicine.
Janssen-Cilag companies in Europe have submitted a Marketing Authorisation Application (MAA) for dapoxetine, a treatment for premature ejaculation (PE) in men 18-64 years of age.
