Republicans in the House of Representatives will put forward a budget plan this year that will seek substantial reforms to health benefits for the elderly and make aggressive strides toward reducing deficits, a senior lawmaker said on Friday. House Budget Committee Chairman Paul Ryan said he wanted his budget plan to offer voters an alternative vision to the "cradle-to-grave welfare state" that he says Democratic President Barack Obama is promoting.
Research led by Frank Lau, MD, Assistant Professor of Clinical Surgery at LSU Health New Orleans School of Medicine, has found that long-term breast reduction outcomes can be improved by using techniques that minimally disrupt the lower breast suspensory ligaments. The paper, The Sternum-Nipple Distance is Double the Nipple-Inframammary Fold Distance in Macromastia, is published Ahead-of-Print online in the Annals of Plastic Surgery.
Between 2011 and 2018 consumption of cigarettes has dropped by almost a quarter says a new study that compared sales data and also performed a survey. This translates into a drop of around 1.5 billion cigarettes a year says the study. Researchers from University College London published their study titled, "Comparison of Trends in Self-reported Cigarette Consumption and Sales in England, 2011 to 2018," in the latest issue of JAMA Network Open this month.
