The American Geriatrics Society continues to voice strong opposition to the Tax Cuts and Job Acts, the tax reform bill that could jeopardize care for millions of older adults and caregivers if it passes a Congressional vote planned for early next week.

In the April issue of Experimental Biology and Medicine a multidisciplinary research team led by Drs. Rex Gaskins and Paul Kenis in the Institute of Genomic Biology (IGB) on the campus of the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign describe their recent work on subcellular redox homeostasis.
The International Phenome Centre Network (IPCN), founded by Imperial College London and more than a dozen international partners in Australia, Canada, China, Japan, Singapore, Taiwan, the US, and the UK (www.phenomenetwork.org), was launched officially this week at the 2016 World Innovation Summit for Health (WISH) conference in Doha, Qatar. This global network is a critical link between leading research centers across the world and will support research into some of today's most pressing global health challenges.
