Researchers at The Ohio State University College of Medicine are the first to identify an immune cell that may predict a transplant patient's risk of developing antibodies that can cause organ rejection.
A new study published today in the journal Nature Cell Biology reports the use of a novel fishing method, under microscopy, to pick up thousands of proteins that are involved in supervising how the cell skeleton is assembled.
Researchers, including academics from the University of York, analyzed systematic reviews of 1,200 Randomized Controlled Trials (RCTs) to assess whether reporting had improved over time.
Requiring students to get vaccinated against the human papillomavirus, or HPV, to enter school could prevent many cancers linked to the virus, but University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill researchers found that many parents only support such requirements with opt-out provisions that could make the laws less effective.
The findings of the scientists of the Institute of Diabetes and Regeneration Research (IDR) at Helmholtz Zentrum München (HMGU) provide new insights into the molecular regulation of stem cell differentiation.
