IDC has released a new special research study on the market for employee benefits administration in the U.S., which shows that over 70% of all employers - both small and large - are either concerned or very concerned over the ramifications of potential healthcare reform legislation. While concerned with the as-yet-undetermined changes in legislation, the rising costs of providing employees with health and welfare benefits is even more of a concern to buyers, with over 80% reporting it as the top challenge they face.

AEterna Zentaris Inc., a global biopharmaceutical company focused on endocrine therapy and oncology, today announced publication of a scientific article in the renowned Journal of Urology, supporting the development of the Company's PI3K/Akt pathway inhibitor oral compound, perifosine, for the treatment of cancer.
Northwest Biotherapeutics today announced that four medical centers across the country are actively recruiting and screening to enroll additional new patients in the Company's ongoing 240-patient randomized, double blind, placebo controlled clinical trial of DCVax immune therapy for Glioblastoma multiforme, the most lethal type of brain cancer.
Anti cancer drugs that have been rejected by the UK Government's new cancer drugs fund would still be available to needy patients according to the new ‘top-up' cash plan that is being launched. This Health Top-Up cash plan comes from Western Provident Association (WPA).
