The International Osteoporosis Foundation (IOF) has awarded its prestigious 'IOF Linda Edwards Memorial Award' to the Arthritis Foundation of India Trust (AFI), one of 193 IOF member societies around the world. The award was presented today at the IOF Worldwide Osteoporosis Patient Society Conference, being held from September 22-25, 2009 in Beijing, China.

The finding is significant because both kidney cancer and decreased kidney function appear to be increasing.
An examination of data for more than 5 million Medicare beneficiaries finds that hospital regions that have a greater frequency of diagnoses have a lower case-fatality rate for chronic conditions such as coronary artery disease and kidney failure, according to a study in the March 16 issue of JAMA.
Researchers now have a much better picture of how follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH), one of the most frequently used fertility drugs, works, and with it new ideas for creating a new generation of oral medications to treat infertility.
