Computer Programs and Systems, Inc., a leading provider of healthcare information technology to community and specialty hospitals, announced today that the Computerized Physician Order Entry (CPOE), Electronic Medication Administration Record (E-MAR) and Pharmacy applications of the CPSI System have achieved "approvable" status from the Ohio Board of Pharmacy. To achieve "approvable" status, CPSI worked with the Board to enhance the security of CPSI's medication management solutions and validate compliance with the Board's standards for the integration of positive caregiver identification.
Baker College Online officials today announced its new Baccalaureate of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree program. The BSN is based on accreditation standards established by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). Registration for the new program is now underway for winter 2010 quarter.
Over the past 15 years, more than 330,000 U.S. soldiers have suffered a traumatic brain injury (TBI). It is one of the leading causes of death and disability connected to the country's recent conflicts in Afghanistan and Iraq. Many of these patients were evacuated by air from these countries to Europe and the U.S. for further treatment. Researchers at SUNY Downstate Medical Center's School of Public Health have determined that two stressful work characteristics, low job control and "job strain" - that is, high-demand, low-control work - have been increasing in the U.S. since 2002.
