University of Melbourne researchers have identified a variety of intellectual impairments, such as difficulties young people have in remembering new information, that could be a marker for later psychosis.
The scientific journal Addiction has today published a collection of peer-reviewed research papers and commentaries that bring together key parts of the evidence base for standardised packaging of tobacco products from 2008 to 2015.
The largest congress worldwide on the topic of particle or ion therapy - radiation with heavy ions and protons - has taken place in the fall of 2009 in Heidelberg. Well over 600 international participants, especially from Japan and the USA, convened in the Heidelberg Town Hall for the annual meeting of the "Particle Therapy Cooperative Group" (PTCOG), including leading experts from the fields of radiation therapy, medical physics and oncology.
AdvaMed 2010 The MedTech Conference opens on Monday, October 18 with a series of free educational Executive Workshops focused on bringing products to the US markets, a 1/2 day entrepreneur bootcamp, and minimizing risk and global harmonization.
