A collaborative team of researchers led by researchers at the Medical College of Wisconsin and the University of Edinburgh has identified a gene responsible for Warburg Micro syndrome, a rare genetic disease characterized by eye, brain and endocrine abnormalities. Patients with Warburg Micro syndrome are severely physically and mentally challenged, unable to learn how to walk or speak and become blind and paralyzed from an early age.

DOJ reaffirms court's power to review health law case but urges caution

In response to a demand from a federal appeals court judge, Attorney General Eric Holder says the Supreme Court has the power to review whether the health law is constitutional, but he also urged the court to show "deference."

Alcohol in any amount harmful finds study

A large study has shown that abstaining completely from alcohol is the best way to protect from the harm it may cause. There have been previous studies that have shown that around one drink a day for women and two for men could be beneficial for protection against heart disease. This new study debunks that idea.
