Researchers may be on the verge of exploiting the vulnerabilities of a virus that causes cervical cancer, thanks to a newly developed technique that enables scientists to mass-produce human papillomavirus (HPV) in the laboratory.
People who suffer a stroke often undergo a brain scan at the hospital, allowing doctors to determine the location and extent of the damage. Researchers who study the effects of strokes would love to be able to analyze these images, but the resolution is often too low for many analyses.
Adeona Pharmaceuticals, a developer of innovative medicines for serious central nervous system diseases, announced today that it has executed an agreement for the sale of approximately 2.85 million shares of its common stock at $1.40 per share to two new institutional investors in a registered direct offering for $4 million in gross proceeds.
