According to the World Health Organisation's latest update, # 39, as of the 26th of May the latest figures in the influenza A H1N1 (swine flu) outbreak are 12,954 confirmed cases in 46 countries, including 92 deaths.
Women living in the most deprived areas of England are nearly twice as likely to be diagnosed with cervical cancer than their affluent counterparts - according to a report presented by national cancer director Professor Mike Richards at the Britain Against Cancer conference today (Tuesday).

An observational study has launched to evaluate the short- and long-term health outcomes of SARS-CoV-2 infection in children, including multisystem inflammatory syndrome in children (MIS-C), and to characterize the immunologic pathways associated with different disease presentations and outcomes. SARS-CoV-2 is the virus that causes COVID-19.
Pulmonx, an emerging leader in interventional pulmonology, announced today that it has concluded an agreement for a new round of equity financing from an investment syndicate led by two new investors. The company also announced that it plans to use this capital to support the international commercial launch of its Zephyr® Endobronchial Valve (EBV), and its recently approved Chartis® Pulmonary Assessment System. Both products are CE marked and cleared for sale in Europe and other major international markets.
