For generations, the consumption of dairy products has been positively associated with the health and wellness of families and communities. Research presented at the ANESTHESIOLOGY 2012 annual meeting revealed cigarette smoke adversely affects the developing human airway, especially in prematurity. Fetuses and premature babies exposed to cigarette smoke are at greater risk for developing childhood respiratory diseases, such as asthma.
New research conducted by a group of scientists at the University of Southern California (USC), whose findings are published in the Journal of Clinical Oncology, suggests that regular exercise could extend the life expectancy of breast cancer survivors, by lowering their increased risk of type 2 diabetes, heart disease, and potentially breast cancer recurrence.
