The research, conducted by scientists at the National Institutes of Health, appears today in the open-access publication PLoS Currents: Influenza.
In an effort to help one of the most under studied groups of sufferers of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), researchers at University of Rhode Island and Lehigh University have kicked off the first-ever controlled pharmacological study for treatment of ADHD amongst college students.
The deaths of three children in Hong Kong from a virulent form of influenza has forced health officials to close all of the district's elementary schools.
NIBIB researchers have created a nanovaccine that could make a current approach to cancer immunotherapy more effective while also reducing side effects.
"Don't drink the water" might be good enough advice to keep you from getting sick in some places, but according to researchers from Arizona State and Drexel University, the admonition should probably be expanded to "...try not to breathe the water either."
