As football players are learning, a violent blow to the head has the potential to cause mild to severe traumatic brain injury - physical damage to the brain that can be debilitating, even fatal. The long-term effects run the gamut of human functioning, from trouble communicating to extensive cognitive and behavioral deterioration. A delegation from the Alliance of Chinese-American Biotechnology and Pharmaceutical Associations (All-CABPA) visited Sundia in Shanghai's famous Zhangjiang Hi-Tech Park on October 12.
Noting "the Malaria Policy Advisory Committee to the World Health Organization met in Geneva, Switzerland, from 11 to 13 September, 2012," an article published in the Malaria Journal on Wednesday "provides a summary of the discussions, conclusions and recommendations from that meeting," according to the article abstract.
