A team of psychologists has found strong associations between working memory - a fundamental building block of a functioning mind - and three health-related factors: sleep, age, and depressed mood.
Stiefel Laboratories, Inc. has announced that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved its new drug application for Extina (ketoconazole) Foam, 2% for the treatment of seborrheic dermatitis.
Researchers at Appalachian State University have found that mothers who consumed more fruits and vegetables are less likely to pressure their daughters to eat and their daughters are less picky, eat more fruits and vegetables, eat fewer fats and sweets and are less likely to be overweight.
"Smart" drugs capable of targeting specific brain cells to control psychiatric disorders such as autism and schizophrenia may be ready for early clinical trials within three years, with the launch of a $1.5 million project to take place at the Brain Research Centre (BRC)
Extremely low birth-weight babies are at risk for a chronic lung disease called bronchopulmonary dysplasia, or BPD.
