Children born with a complete absence of the external ear canal, even if only one ear is affected, are more likely than their peers to struggle in school, according to new research at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis.
For people with multiple sclerosis (MS), eating a healthy diet of fruits, vegetables and whole grains may be linked to having less disability and fewer symptoms than people whose diet is less healthy, according to a study published in the December 6, 2017, online issue of Neurology, the medical journal of the American Academy of Neurology.
In this conference, world renowned scholars and researchers from neuroscience, psychology, philosophy and ethics will discuss the neurophysiological and psychological basis of human subjective experience, the phenomenological and spiritual characteristics of these domains, and how these may interact in the process of practical reasoning and moral decision making.
The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center and Cyclacel Pharmaceuticals, Inc., today announced a three-year strategic alliance agreement that will enable clinical evaluation for safety and efficacy of three Cyclacel medicines in patients with hematological malignancies, including chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL), acute myeloid leukemia (AML), myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS) and other advanced leukemias.
Seniors who step outside their comfort zones could be enhancing their memories beyond those who stick with what they know.
