Children's tendency to show ethnic/racial prejudice is greater when their friends exclude individuals on the basis of race and when their peer groups felt threatened by outsiders, finds a new study published in the May/June issue of the journal Child Development.
An online survey conducted by Red Hot Mamas North America, Inc. found that women and their loved ones are significantly affected by very painful bouts of gout, which they consider to be chronic and severe. Respondents indicated that although the debilitating pain associated with the condition affects quality of life, many individuals are prescribed medications meant to control the condition which they are not taking.
In a move to accelerate applications of a novel cancer detection and treatment technology, Manhattan Scientifics today announced that it has acquired all of Senior Scientific, LLC and its affiliate Scientific Nanomedicine Inc.
Researchers now know more about a new class of toxins that might soon become as important a risk factor for heart disease and metabolic disorders as trans fats.
A diagnosis of cancer can cause significant emotional burden for patients and their families. The turmoil may persist throughout treatment and even years into survivorship.
