University of Warwick is collaborating with researchers at the NIHR Surgical Reconstruction and Microbiology Research Centre to support a ground-breaking new study to investigate the effectiveness of giving patients blood products immediately after a major injury or trauma - before they reach hospital.

Scientists have discovered that switching on one area of the brain chemically can trigger a deep sleep.
A surgical team led by Dr. Pier Cristoforo Giulianotti, chief of the division of minimally invasive, general and robotic surgery at the University of Illinois Medical Center at Chicago, has performed the first fully robotic Whipple procedure in the Midwest.
Researchers at Johns Hopkins have zoomed in on what is going on at the molecular level when the body recognizes and defends against an attack of pathogens, and the findings, they say, could influence how drugs are developed to treat autoimmune diseases.
