An alternative and harmful form of tobacco use, known as the hookah or water pipe, may be spreading among youth in the United States according to researchers from the University of California, San Diego's Department of Family and Preventive Medicine and San Diego State University. This trend is emerging even as cigarette smoking among high school students is on the decline nationally.
When kids are at school, we hope for high marks in math, science and English. But what about the grades the school itself would receive in a class on cleanliness? A study conducted by Dr. Charles Gerba, professor of environmental microbiology at the University of Arizona, in partnership with The Clorox Company, found that plenty of bacteria are going to school too.
The heart failure market is expected to grow from $3.7bn in 2018 to $22.1bn in 2028 across the eight major markets (8MM) at an impressive compound annual growth rate of 19.5%, according to GlobalData, a leading data and analytics company.
A new study suggests that a genetic switch that causes latent HIV inside cells to begin to replicate can be manipulated to completely eradicate the virus from the human body. Cells harboring latent HIV are "invisible" to the natural defenses of the immune system.
