In research published in Nature Chemical Biology, scientists from RIKEN in Japan have discovered a surprisingly simple mechanism through which enterics can adjust to the very different oxygen environments inside the human gut and outside.
The consumption of dairy products has long been thought to increase the risk of death, particularly from coronary heart disease, cerebrovascular disease, and cancer, because of dairy's relatively high levels of saturated fat.
The Department of Health and Human Services stripped from a government website HIV/AIDS educational material that featured condoms, calling the images "unapproved," according to official correspondence obtained by Kaiser Health News.
