The first study to examine the use of cannabis in the context of daily life among people with Bipolar Disorder has shown how the drug is linked to increases in both manic and depressive symptoms.
A team from the University of California, Irvine and supported by the National Institute of Biomedical Imaging and Bioengineering has used a new imaging technique to measure how people break down dietary fat into products the cells of their bodies can use.
Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Limited and Natrogen Therapeutics International, Inc. jointly announced today an agreement whereby Takeda will acquire an exclusive license to develop Natrogen's Natura-alpha compound as well as an option to acquire Natrogen. Natura-alpha is a synthetic small molecule oral compound that is believed to inhibit pro-inflammatory cytokine expression, which may help to reduce gastrointestinal inflammation. Natura-alpha is currently in Phase 2 development for the treatment of ulcerative colitis.
Ahead of the U.N. High Level Meeting on AIDS, the Stop TB Partnership released five guidelines aimed at preventing tuberculosis, which results in one in four AIDS-related deaths, the U.N. News Centre writes.
