Premier Purchasing Partners, LP, today announced new agreements have taken effect in a new radio frequency identification (RFID) asset management and tracking solution category. The agreements have been awarded to AeroScout Inc. of Redwood City, Calif.; Dynamic Computer Corporation of Farmington Hills, Mich., a minority owned business enterprise; International Business Solutions Alliance, LLC of Dayton, Ohio; and Skytron of Grand Rapids, Mich.
Many children return to sports such as soccer, football, cross-country and volleyball when they return to school. Physicians in the Division of Sports Medicine at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center say preparation before the first day of practice is critical in helping to reduce the risk of injury.
The University of Sydney is to take a leading role in researching and developing traditional Chinese medicines with the establishment of a new research centre and a joint chair in the discipline.
"Colorado has declared a fiscal emergency and delayed payments to doctors and clinics taking care of the state's neediest patients. Under state law, the Medicaid department can delay reimbursements to doctors, hospitals and clinics during a fiscal emergency. Physicians treating patients with the health-insurance plan for the poor will not receive normally scheduled payments on June 25 or July 2, a hardship for safety-net clinics in particular that rely on public funds. State officials said they would begin catching up on payments July 9 after a new fiscal year begins" (Brown, 6/17).
Luminex Corporation today announced that testing at the clinical trial sites for the ARIES HSV 1&2 Assay is now complete. The next steps, including site to site reproducibility testing, followed by data analysis and assembly of the data package for submission to the FDA, are now underway.
