While African-American smokers are less likely to receive quitting advice from their doctors or use quit aids, media campaigns that offer positive encouragement can have an impact on getting them to quit, finds a new study.
Can a fish with a malformed jaw tell us something about hearing loss in mice and humans? The answer is yes, according to a new publication in Scientific Reports.
Joseph F. Finn, Jr., C.P.A., Assignee for the Benefit of Creditors of Epix Pharmaceuticals, Inc., announced today that the MRI imaging intellectual properties will be auctioned on May 28, 2010. The assets of Epix were transferred to him on July 20, 2009 and he is liquidating them for the benefit of Epix creditors. He recently reached an agreement with Bayer Schering Pharma that permits the sale of the MRI imaging programs.
A new study at Los Alamos National Laboratory and in collaboration with Stanford Synchrotron Radiation Lightsource greatly improves scientists' understanding of the element actinium. The insights could support innovation in creating new classes of anticancer drugs.
