Health-care economy researchers at the University of British Columbia have found there is wide variation in coverage for pharmaceuticals in Canada.
Patients whose cancer has spread to the brain can avoid typical hair loss (alopecia) when treated with newer radiation techniques, thereby improving their quality of life while still controlling their cancer, according to a study presented October 16, 2005, at the American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology's 47th Annual Meeting in Denver.
As the first FDA-approved cancer vaccine, designed to protect against human papillomavirus, has moved from scientific discussion to social debate, other vaccine studies are continuing to make progress.
"As the federal government works to reform America's beleaguered health system, the State Department's new Office of Global Health Diplomacy is trying integrate the U.S. government's international health aid efforts and help governments in developing countries create sustainable health care funding and care models," Government Health IT reports, highlighting a town hall discussion with Ambassador Eric Goosby, head of the State Department's Office of Global Health Diplomacy and U.S. global AIDS coordinator, at the Kaiser Family Foundation on Thursday.
Neovasc Inc., today announced financial results for the three and nine months ended September 30, 2009.
