Younger patients - aged 50 to 64 - are more likely to be diagnosed with late stage lung cancer than older patients according to new data being presented at the Cancer Outcomes and Data Conference in Manchester today (Tuesday).
This risky method of anti-cancer therapy was suggested by scientists of Far Eastern Federal University (FEFU). Their review of mechanisms for molecular activation of stem cells of gliomas (most widely-spread brain tumors) was approved for publishing in the Frontiers in Cellular Neuroscience journal.
Using advanced imaging techniques and cognitive tests, researchers at Albert Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva University and Montefiore Medical Center , the University Hospital and academic medical center for Einstein, have shown that repeatedly heading a soccer ball increases the risk for brain injury and cognitive impairment.
The traditional device manufacturers used by doctors such as Welch Allyn, Keeler and Heine aren't digital. It means that they have an external light source (with a battery) and are used to look into the ears but the doctors can't capture the images.
A study of small laboratory animals suggests that prescription pain medications may delay healing in rotator cuff repair, a common shoulder operation, according to a new study by a team of doctors at the Hospital for Special Surgery.
