Writing in the December 30, 2019 online issue of Neurology, researchers at University of California San Diego School of Medicine and Veterans Affairs San Diego Healthcare System report that accumulating amyloid - an abnormal protein linked to neurodegenerative conditions such as Alzheimer's disease - occurred faster among persons deemed to have "objectively-defined subtle cognitive difficulties" (Obj-SCD) than among persons considered to be "cognitively normal."
Onyx Pharmaceuticals, Inc. today announced results from the Phase 3 trial GRID (GIST – Regorafenib in Progressive Disease) evaluating the investigational compound regorafenib (BAY 73-4506), a Bayer-owned compound, for the treatment of patients with metastatic and/or unresectable gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GIST) whose disease has progressed despite prior treatment with at least imatinib and sunitinib.
Research by the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS) has found that pensioners now have the money and the motivation to go under the knife in a bid to look a few years younger. Men and women in their seventies and eighties are fuelling the boom in cosmetic surgery
