As the second leading cause of cancer-related deaths in the U.S., colon cancer affects both men and women and is expected to cause more than 50,000 deaths this year. University of Houston professor Cecilia Williams has been awarded a $1.56 million grant from the National Cancer Institute to investigate the mechanistic basis for novel colon cancer prevention and therapy.
Cerveau Technologies, Inc. today announced a research collaboration agreement with Eisai Inc., which will enable Eisai to use Cerveau's [F-18]MK-6240, an investigational imaging agent, in Positron Emission Tomography scans to assess the status and progression of neurofibrillary tangles in the brain.
