Mountain Acquisition Corp. and Mountain Merger Sub Corp., both affiliates of Vestar Capital Partners V, L.P. formed for the purpose of acquiring Health Grades, Inc., today announced that, in accordance with the previously announced Agreement and Plan of Merger, dated as of July 27, 2010, among Mountain Acquisition Corp., Mountain Merger Sub Corp., Mountain Acquisition Holdings, LLC and HealthGrades, they have commenced a tender offer to acquire all of the outstanding shares of HealthGrades' common stock for $8.20 per share in cash.
UCSF scientists are reporting what they say is a significant improvement in the technique for genetically reprogramming mouse cells to their embryonic state, a process that transforms the cells, in essence, into embryonic stem cells.
Although there is currently no treatment approved by the Federal Drug Administration (FDA) for acute attacks of hereditary angioedema (HAE) - a genetic disease causing swelling of extremities, face and internal organs that can be life-threatening - hope is on the horizon according to a team of experts presenting the latest research at the Annual Meeting of the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology (ACAAI) in Dallas.
Ingen Technologies, Inc., a medical device manufacturer with an emerging new medical product line targeting the $8 billion respiratory market, announced today that it has received a letter of confirmation from the Armed Services Association in Washington, D.C. stating that the company is now registered with the U.S. Central Contractor Registry (CCR), which qualifies it to do business with the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD).
A study of around 300 volunteers, conducted in Austria by MedUni Vienna in collaboration with Diagnostic Graz, convincingly shows that Magnetic Resonance Imaging is the best choice for clarifying ambiguous mammography results.
