Researchers are calling for the creation of a collaborative registry to assess the risk of serious injuries when treating children using spinal manipulation.
LUMEDX Corporation, a leading provider of vendor-neutral cardiovascular imaging and information systems, announced today that it has contracted to provide Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital with a comprehensive CVIS that will integrate patient data and images across five different sites. The LUMEDX CVIS will consolidate data, improve physician access to patient information, streamline clinical workflows, and support outcomes analysis and registry reporting for the Phoebe Heart and Vascular Center.
Montana State University scientists in the Department of Chemistry and Bio-chemistry published new research this week that could one day affect the lives of millions around the world who suffer from blood iron disorders.
New data from the international FIELD Study Repeat presented today at the 15th World Congress of Cancers of the Skin (WCCS) in Edinburgh, Scotland, demonstrate initial treatment with Picato® (ingenol mebutate gel) 0.015% is efficacious in treating actinic keratoses (AK) and, when followed by a repeat cycle for persistent and newly emerging AKs, this efficacy is further increased.1 The data also confirm two treatment cycles of Picato® are well tolerated by patients.2
Vical Incorporated announced today that the U.S. Navy, through the Henry M. Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine, Inc., has awarded Vical a contract to conduct a Phase 1 clinical trial of the company's Vaxfectin®-formulated DNA vaccine against A/H1N1 pandemic influenza (swine flu).
