Bayer HealthCare and Onyx Pharmaceuticals today announced the submission of a supplemental New Drug Application to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and an application for marketing authorization to the European Medicines Agency for the oral multi-kinase inhibitor Nexavar (sorafenib) tablets for the treatment of locally advanced or metastatic radioactive iodine-refractory differentiated thyroid cancer.
Ipsen, an innovation-driven global specialty pharmaceutical group, today announced that its partner Roche has disclosed the results of the second and third of eight T-emerge phase III studies in patients with diabetes for taspoglutide, the first human once weekly glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) analogue originating from Ipsen's research and developed by Roche.
Not surprisingly - but definitely significantly - children with asthma had fewer asthma-related attacks and medical visits after enrolling in the state children's health insurance program (SCHIP), according to a University of Rochester Medical Center study in Pediatrics this month.
Researchers at the Salk Institute for Biological Studies have identified an important circuit in the spinal cord that controls the speed with which our leg muscles contract and relax.
