To fight chronic "diseases in Mexico, the nation with the world's highest rate of obese and overweight adults, a Reuters investigation found that WHO's regional office has turned to the very companies whose sugary drinks and salty foods are linked to many of the maladies it's trying to prevent," the news service reports.
Gout has been described by the Daily Mail as something, "usually associated with port-swilling, over-fed elderly men of the 19th century". (1) Recent research carried out at the Boston University School of Medicine, however, has found that the incidence of gout in the US is on the rise. (2) Thus, the condition is clearly not something that only affects this stereotype.
Computer Programs and Systems, Inc., a leading provider of healthcare information technology to community and specialty hospitals, announced today that the Computerized Physician Order Entry (CPOE), Electronic Medication Administration Record (E-MAR) and Pharmacy applications of the CPSI System have achieved "approvable" status from the Ohio Board of Pharmacy. To achieve "approvable" status, CPSI worked with the Board to enhance the security of CPSI's medication management solutions and validate compliance with the Board's standards for the integration of positive caregiver identification.
In March 2020, not long after the first cases of COVID-19 were reported locally, health officials in the city of St. Louis and St. Louis County issued emergency public health orders intended to reduce interactions between people and slow the transmission of the novel respiratory virus.
