"Malnutrition is the root cause of the deaths of 2.6 million children each year, and the bodies and brains of 450 million more will fail to develop properly due to inadequate diet over the next 15 years unless immediate action is taken, according to a survey published Wednesday by" Save the Children, the Guardian reports.
The child vaccine is similar to the adult one and two types of dose strengths and amounts will be tested in order to determine the correct dosage and the safety of the vaccine - it will be tested on children aged between six months and eight years in Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth, Sydney and Brisbane.
Mutations in the KRAS gene have long been known to cause cancer, and about one third of solid tumors have KRAS mutations or mutations in the KRAS pathway. KRAS promotes cancer formation not only by driving cell growth and division, but also by turning off protective tumor suppressor genes, which normally limit uncontrolled cell growth and cause damaged cells to self-destruct.
