The risk of hepatitis transmission through non-single use instruments - such as nail files, nail brushes, finger bowls, foot basins, buffers, razors, clippers, and scissors - during nail salon and barbershop visits cannot be excluded, according to the results of a new report unveiled today at the American College of Gastroenterology's (ACG) 76th Annual Scientific meeting in Washington, DC.
Men with large waists urinate more frequently than their slimmer counterparts, according to research in the August issue of the urology journal BJUI.
Northwestern Medicine-, Walgreens, Alliance of Chicago community health centers and Merck are collaborating on a study with a deceptively simple goal: provide clear instructions on prescription medicine labels so patients don't make mistakes and overcomplicate taking their daily medications.
Encouraging new data from the wider distribution of anti-parasite drugs in pregnant women and very young children demonstrates that medicines commonly used to treat parasitic infections have much wider benefits than was previously thought.
