One critical barrier in efforts to control the COVID-19 pandemic has been the relatively high false-negative rate of the most commonly-used Reverse Transcription Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) testing methods.
Gloucester Pharmaceuticals announced today the presentation of positive data from an analysis of ISTODAX® (romidepsin) in a subset of patients from Gloucester's registration study in cutaneous T-cell lymphoma (CTCL) at the 51st American Society of Hematology (ASH) Annual Meeting being held in New Orleans, LA.
Pending cuts to the Medicare physician fee schedule could severely hamper the ability of physical therapists to serve the rehabilitation needs of seniors and people with disabilities - driving up overall costs while decreasing quality of care, according to the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and its Private Practice Section.
The current COVID-19 pandemic, caused by the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2), is primarily a respiratory infection, though the majority of cases are asymptomatic or mild disease.
