HeartSmarts, a faith-based community education and outreach program, is an effective method for teaching underserved communities about heart health in New York City, according to a study published in the Journal of Religion and Health.
The partnership will build on existing research links involving the five universities and create an environment for forging new projects in medicine, the sciences, humanities and social sciences among all partners.
Columbia University School of Nursing is the only site in New York State, and one of only 30 international sites selected to participate in a clinical trial to treat Acquired Female Orgasmic Disorder.
