Doctors across the UK are leading innovative approaches to patient care but are blocked from developing their projects further by lack of funding and staff according to a new publication launched today (3 June) by the BMA.
Health Connect South, a non-profit organization serving the health community as a sustainable platform for regional health collaborations, will convene top innovators, decision makers and leaders from throughout the Southeast to speak at its second annual health leadership event on Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2015 at the Georgia Aquarium.
Kaiser Health News staff writer Jay Hancock reports: "Under intense, bipartisan political pressure, the Obama administration backed down for the second year in a row on proposed payment cuts for insurance companies that offer private plans to Medicare members.
Researchers at UT Southwestern Medical Center have identified a cellular switch that potentially can be turned off and on to slow down, and eventually inhibit the growth of the most commonly diagnosed and aggressive malignant brain tumor.
